On August 7th, 2017, WordPress.com announced that their WordPress Business users can now access and add third-party plugins and themes built by the WordPress community.

Until now, the WordPress.org plugin and theme directories were available only for those choosing to self-manage their own WordPress installation. While self-managed WordPress installations offer the most flexibility, they also require a significant time investment, a luxury for many, and a fair amount of technical skill to setup and maintain.

The addition of third-party plugin and theme supports means that IgnitionDeck will now work on more than 18 million websites globally, empowering a more than 9 million new users to add fundraising and crowdfunding modules to their very own website.
