IgnitionDeck Reaches Orbit with 1.0

In the beginning, IgnitionDeck was just a concept. We wanted a simple way to accept pre-orders on our WordPress websites without having to use Kickstarter’s lengthy application process.

When we finally launched, IgnitionDeck was the first and only of its kind; a new way to crowdfund without paying crazy fees or asking permission to launch. Without a middleman trying to get in between you and your audience, crowdfunding became a right, and not a privilege.

Over the course of the last 18 months, IgnitionDeck has been battle tested by thousands, big and small, and has helped the WordPress and crowdfunding communities raise more than 8 million dollars.

During that time, we’ve been blessed by a tremendous outpouring of support from people like you. We’ve conquered bugs together, built new features together, and most notably, established a new industry together.

It’s now been 18 months since our humble little launch, and while we’ve seen many imitators come and go, the good news is that in announcing our 1.0 release, IgnitionDeck is just getting started. The principals on which this platform has been built have kept us steadfast on doing what we do best, which is supporting entrepreneurs, makers, and creators in achieving their dreams.

In short, it’s with tremendous gratitude and excitement that we announce IgnitionDeck has reached it’s orbit. And it’s with tremendous eagerness that we begin the real work of taking this platform to the next level.
