Deck Upgrade: Click Level to Purchase

One of the most frequent feature requests we receive is that of  selectable project levels so that readers can easily click on a level to reach the purchase form. From a user experience perspective, this addition makes a lot of sense. It’s generally common in other crowdfunding platforms, and at worst, is a functional upgrade that reduces the distance between browsing and buying.

There are many reasons we haven’t yet released this feature, but primarily, we wanted to make sure that we properly addressed the feature cross-platform, through our plugin and themes. Of course, we didn’t help ourselves by testing it on our Fund the Future page. At that point, requests increased dramatically and we knew it was time to come clean.

So today we’re happy to announce that as of version 1.1, Theme 500 and its child themes will feature selectable levels that direct buyers straight to the appropriate checkout. You can view a live demo, or download it now and start using it immediately. Better yet, if you’re already a Theme 500 user, you can now automatically update from your WordPress dashboard.

In case you’re wondering…yes, we’ll be adding this same feature to the core plugin also. We’re amidst a few re-designs on the current version of the deck and will be releasing those upgrades in unison for IgnitionDeck 1.2. We can’t wait to share it with you.
