GIG Joins the IgnitionDeck Theme Lineup

We’re excited to announce the addition of a new theme to our portfolio of beautiful crowdfunding and e-commerce themes. The GIG theme, designed and sold by CR3ATIV on Themeforest, is a highly-rated, fully responsive and mobile-ready theme that integrates with IgnitionDeck Crowdfunding and makes it incredibly easy for bands to showcase their work, connect with fans, and sell or crowdfund music.

The relationship between IgnitionDeck and GIG has always been intertwined, dating back to May of 2014, when we partnered with Envato to offer cash rewards to theme developers that submitted crowdfunding themes powered by IgnitionDeck to ThemeForest. This bounty was a huge success which not only resulted in the creation of Gig, but the introduction of many more great themes for self-hosted crowdfunding campaigns, including GoodWork, another responsive crowdfunding theme now available at ThemeForest.

A Powerful Music Crowdfunding Theme That’s Getting Even Better!

Jonathan Atkinson, the original theme author at Cr3ATIV says:

GIG was one of the first themes to support IgnitionDeck, and music artists love the fact that they can run their own crowdfunding campaign on their own terms. Now that the same team who produces the plugin will also be taking over future development of the theme,  I feel that end users will receive a better experience as both products move forward under the same guidance.

As part of the transition, GIG has been removed from ThemeForest and is now offered exclusively in IgnitionDeck’s theme marketplace. Next, we’ll begin the upgrade process that will enable GIG to integrate with our higher-end crowdfunding and e-commerce products, IgnitionDeck+Membership and IgnitionDeck Enterprise. In other words, this rockstar of a theme is going to rock even more!

GIG already has some really awesome features for bands and musicians, including:

• A slick HTML 5 playlist player
• An integrated Events Calendar, complete with a flexible ‘Buy Tickets’ system
• A band member Bios system
• Albums/Tracks custom post type, complete with ‘Buy Now’ buttons

For those of you that already purchased GIG via ThemeForest, don’t worry, your version of the GIG theme should continue to work as it should. We’ve also posted a FAQ page that addresses questions you may have regarding the transition.
