What’s New in IgnitionDeck 1.2
IgnitionDeck 1.2 just might be the biggest and best release yet. We’ve packed in a ton of new features, including the new Deck Builder, re-designed skins, and the long-awaited grid shortcode, while continuing to patch bugs and optimize the codebase.
On top of that, we’ve released several new hooks and filters that can be used to build custom functionality in your plugins and themes.
Here’s the full scoop:
New Features
The Deck Builder is a completely new approach to crowdfunding and e-commerce that enables you to customize what does and does not appear on your deck. Use the Deck Builder to create any number of custom decks, toggling display items with the click of a button. This makes it incredibly easy to sell, accept pre-orders for, or crowdfund virtually any product.

The Grid Shortcode
The grid shortcode does exactly what you’d expect. It allows you to display a project grid without the use of Theme 500. Customize the number of projects displayed and the number of columns in order to create a fluid and flexible display. Better yet, you can combine it with the Deck Builder.

Re-Designed Deck
Our deck designs were showing signs of wear, so we decided to give them a facelift. The new designs are modern, fresh, and of course, free to IgnitionDeck owners. There’s no need to install, they’re ready to go.

Other Updates
Theme 500

Additional Updates
In the past month we’ve issued updates to our Stripe and Braintree extensions to enable additional currency handling functionality, our Receipts extension to include merge codes for {{Name}}, {{AMOUNT}}, and {{DATE}}, and a variety of minor improvements to additional extensions. So make sure you check to ensure you have the latest versions of each.
Wrap Up
As you can see, we’ve been very busy the past few months, but we plan to keep the pace through the year, offering major released every 4-6 weeks.
We’ve already got some great features on tap for IgnitionDeck 1.3, and in the coming week or two will be announcing another new feature for Theme 500: Grid Filtering.
We’d love to hear your take on these features. Which ones are you most excited about, and which ones do you hope to see next? Let us know!
