Test Payments with IgnitionDeck Sandbox Mode
One of the issues that plagued early versions of IgnitionDeck was the inability to test payments without modifying the core plugin files. Obviously, this made it very difficult to verify your installation before launching your campaign.
It was important for us to change this going forward, especially since Beta 5 introduced a second payment system (Paypal Adaptive Payments). So as of IgnitionDeck Beta 5, not only can you enable Paypal sandbox mode with a simple click, you can also watch test payments display on ‘The Deck’ in order to make sure you have everything setup correctly.
Sandbox can be activated with both standard Paypal and Paypal adaptive.
If you don’t have a Paypal developer account, which you’ll need for sandbox testing, simply visit the Paypal Developer site, register for an account, and then create two test accounts, one for the seller and one for the buyer. Enter those credentials in your IgnitionDeck payment settings, enable sandbox, and save.
When you’re ready to go live, simply change your credentials, delete the test orders, and disable sandbox. You’re ready to go!
Though just a nuance, we hope this feature helps you get out of the gate much more quickly, so you can get on with the important part of your campaign – raising money.
